Likewise, in Southlands, Ulthuan, Naggaroth and Lustria there is war between High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen and Skaven. The peoples inhabiting the Old World constantly fight for dominance while struggling to repel the armies of Chaos. This universe is constantly at the state of war. Just like it was in the grand campaigns in Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II, Mortal Empires invites players to the Warhammer Fantasy universe, populated by such races as Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Vampires, Orcs and many more. The expansion is dedicated to those players who own both the first game and its sequel.
It adds the third game mode to the Warhammer sub-series (the entire trilogy offers five of those) – the widely advertised joint grand campaign. Mortal Empires is a free DLC for Total War: Warhammer II, a strategy game belonging to a popular series of strategy games created by the British studio Creative Assembly.
